Paying for planting trees might have an enormous positive influence:
• Fights global warming,
• Improves local climate and environment
• Infuses cash into rural communities, brings hope for stable future
• Create jobs and self employment
• Stimulates social cohesion through “tree clubs”
• Tree clubs will initiate other energy saving projects
• Brings pride to rural folk that they help to solve a global problem
• Can reach grassroots without extra levels of aid workers
• Might even work in conflict situation
